ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS?

COULD ALASKA BIBLE INSTITUTE BE RIGHT FOR YOU?

If you value small class sizes; close connections with staff, faculty, and fellow students; and a challenging yet supportive academic environment with life transforming opportunities, it probably is. As a highly selective institution, we strive to develop a complete picture of all applicants and what they may bring to the ABI campus. Upon acceptance, you will be joining a cohort-based program – a close-knit and diverse community of people seeking to be equipped and empowered for life and ministry.

APPLY, IF YOU:

  1. are at least 18 years of age.
  2. have graduated from High School or possess an equivalent certificate.
  3. have read and agree to ABI's rules set out in the STUDENT HANDBOOK.
  4. are capable of paying the room and board fees associated with attending ABI.
  5. are a returning student after three years absence.

CAMPUS LIFE

Some staff and faculty families call the campus home all year, which means you may often see children building forts, sledding, or running around nearby. As a student, you will live in close proximity to both staff and your classmates, whether in the dorms or in an apartment. We will get to know one another – both the good and perhaps the not-so-good – and we wouldn’t want it any other way.

HOUSE RULES

You can apply to ABI if you:
Living life together with others has its difficulties and frustrations, but it is also deeply rewarding. Over the years, we have found that agreeing to live by a set of "HOUSE" RULES helps minimize these challenges, protects each individual, and facilitates an environment of discipleship and growth. Like in any family, at ABI we all do our part to make the campus function in the healthiest way possible. As you prepare to attend, plan to be an active part of the campus family.

"I loved learning about how to live in a community and honoring the people around you."

Bethany Young, '13

COST

It is the desire of ABI that everyone who desires to study God’s Word be able to do so – which is why we do not charge tuition, and our registration, utility fees, and room & board fees are kept at a minimum.  To help facilitate a low operating budget, the staff and faculty at ABI are all missionaries who raise their own financial support.  In addition to this, we require students to contribute in routine campus chores.
