See Christians Be Disciple-Makers.
Train & Equip Christians for Life & Ministry
Intentional Community & Biblical Instruction
AT ABI, ALL THE STAFF & FACULTY ARE FULL-TIME MISSIONARIES
The staff and faculty at Alaska Bible Institute are committed to seeing God’s kingdom expand and grow. Our goal is to replicate and model lives lived in pursuit of Jesus while giving you the time and space to dig into God’s living Word. We are committed to seeing you become a disciple maker to become trained and equipped for your next step in life. All of our staff are missionaries or volunteers who raise support to make this opportunity more accessible. With varying backgrounds in ministry and a multi-denominational presence, you will experience unity in Christ in action. Below are videos describing our core values and how He unites us in ministry.
SUPPORT A MISSIONARY
IN THE FALL OF 1965, UNDER THE DIRECTION OF PASTOR RAY ARNO, THE ALASKA NATIVE BIBLE INSTITUTE BEGAN.
ABI began with the burden to see Alaska Natives grounded in their faith through the teaching of God’s Word while in close Christian fellowship. In the fall of 1965, under the encouragement of missionary Barbara Crozier and the direction of Pastor Ray Arno, the Alaska Native Bible Institute began. With facilities and finances all but non-existent, students came in from villages and were housed in rented cabins. In 1971, God made it clear that the school should be available to anyone. With the word “Native” dropped, Alaska Bible Institute continued as one of Alaska's few evangelical bible schools. Today, students come from all over the United States, Canada and parts of the world to attend Alaska Bible Institute. November 2015 marked our 50th year of training and equipping Christians for life and ministry. Since its inception, ABI has seen hundreds of men and women graduate and go on to be disciple-makers, missionaries and church planters, and to serve God's kingdom around the world.
